Third-Party Launcher with Gestures

Xiaomi and Poco phones block full-screen gestures when using third-party launchers like Nova Launcher. There is a workaround to enjoy gesture navigation seamlessly:

Step 1: Set Up Nova Launcher

1. Install Nova Launcher from the Play Store.
2. Set it as your default launcher via Settings > Home screen.
3. Attempt to enable Full-Screen Gestures (you'll see a restriction warning).

Step 2: Activate Second Space

1. Open Settings > Additional Settings > Second Space.
2. Tap Create and follow prompts to set up a secondary profile.
3. Do not set Nova Launcher as the default launcher here.

Step 3: Enable Gestures in Second Space

1. Switch to Second Space (via notification shade or Settings).
2. Go to Settings > Display > System Navigation.
3. Select Full-Screen Gestures (no error will appear here).

Step 4: Return to Primary Space

1. Switch back to your Primary Space.
2. The three-button navigation bar will disappear, but gestures won't work yet.

Step 5: Configure Fluid Navigation Gestures (FNG)

1. Open Fluid Navigation Gestures.
2. Grant Overlay and Accessibility permissions when prompted.
3. Customize gestures (e.g., back, home, recents) to match MIUI's behavior.
4. Enable Hide Navigation Bar in FNG settings.

Step 6: Prevent FNG From Closing

1. Open your phone's Security App.
2. Go to Battery > App Battery Saver.
3. Find Fluid Navigation Gestures and set it to No Restrictions.
4. Enable Autostart for FNG in the same menu.

Troubleshooting Tips

• Gestures freeze? Reboot your device and relaunch FNG.
• Second Space missing? Update MIUI or use a workaround like Multiple Users.
• Overlay issues? Disable battery optimization for Nova Launcher and FNG.
